The arbitrator has reviewed all of the documents available to deem whether the claim is eligible to proceed further. A decision has been made.
There are number of options for handling the worksheet, select the appropriate one.
Claim Approved: The claim has been approved. The PA will schedule an arbitration hearing.
A
manual letter with the hearing details will be sent to the consumer, manufacturer and arbitrator.
Eligibility Awaiting Decision: Additional information is required before the arbitrator can issue an award. On other occasions, a technical inspection has occurred and the Arbitrator has a new decision to submit.
Closed Conciliated: A consumer has accepted a settlement from the manufacturer and the claim form has been processed by the manufacturer before the arbitration hearing
A
manual letter should be sent to consumer, manufacturer and arbitrator informing them that the claim has been closed.
Closed Claim Ineligible: The arbitrator has decided the claim is ineligible under the rules of the CAMVAP program and should not proceed.
A
manual letter should be sent to the consumer and manufacturer informing them of the arbitrator's decision.
Closed Withdrawn: The consumer has decided they would no longer like to proceed with the claim.
A
manual letter should be sent to consumer, manufacturer and arbitrator confirming that that case has been withdrawn by the consumer.
Provide additional notes as you see fit and save the status change. Please use caution when recording case notes as all parties have access this function.
NOTE: Once the status change has been made it cannot be altered.
