This is an old revision of the document!
The World Manufacturer Identifier (WMI) code is the first three characters in a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). It uniquely identifies the manufacturer of the vehicle.
This list determines which manufacturers/brands the CAMVAP program supports. There are some manufacturers that are supported, but a particular brand they produce is not.
If a WMI code is not in the list when a consumer enters a VIN number, they will receive an error message stating their vehicle is not supported by the program. It is important for CAMVAP to maintain and update the list and ensure only vehicles recognized by the program are recorded. That also means removing any vehicles that are no longer supported.
Using the collection form, you will insert the name of the venue, region, address and directions for the hearing venue.
When additional contact information is required and/or needs to be updated, select the edit button on the main screen. Follow the above mentioned directions for inputting information in order to make any changes.
In some cases you will need to delete a WMI. Use the delete button on the main screen. You will be asked to confirm the operation.
